Blinks, Thomas

Thomas Blinksspecialised asa sporting and animal artist. He was born in Maidstone.His first exhibition wasat The Royal Society of British Artists in 1882 and regularly at The Royal Academy from 1883 to 1910. He was to become one of the best painters of Foxhoundsincluding working dogs.He aslo exhibited manyracing pictures. He worked in both oil and watercolour. His horses showed very good actionprobably becauseof his great love for horses and hounds. Eighty of his works where produced in prints with some of his works being engraved by J B Pratt.
