Judy Boyt MA. FRSS is a sculptor and designer with a passion for the natural world. “I want the sculptures to convey the energy and life that will engage the observer.” A little girl was heard saying to her mother while standing in front of Waiting…. (The Working Horse Monument in Liverpool,) ‘…. if I stand here long enough I will see it move ‘ said a little girl watching Waiting!!!
‘Judy Boyt is so inspiring, her extra ordinary talent, passion for sculpture and her endless pursuit of excellence, only the best will do. This can be seen in her own work, her pieces speak for themselves and are treasures for life.’
Judy’s most recent bronze sculpture of the renowned broodmare Hasili, was installed at HH The Prince Khalid Abdullah’s (Juddmonte Racing) Banstead Manor Stud, Newmarket.
Along with Judy’s considerable range of small and large sculptures, she is developing the more abstracted and focal concepts, combined with the recognisable figurative element. Epsom’s Evocation of Speed is the starting point for this style of work, followed by the sculpture ‘By a Head..’ Size and scale is getting bigger too – something that does not daunt her – The monumental equine bronze Rebellion is twice life size and is gracing the City of London Skyline.
She is working, in collaboration with fellow artist Tessa Campbell Fraser on the proposed sculpture The Royal Procession (life size carriage and four horses) potentially for Royal Ascot Racecourse.
