Coursing – ‘The Waterloo Cup 2005’ Commemorative Bronze Sculpture

Exclusive to Victoria Gallery. A Commemorative Limited Edition bronze sculpture ‘THE WATERLOO CUP 2005’ Edition of /95. Edition of /95.

VERY difficult to photograph! This was designed by myself and my sculptor immediately after the final of the Coursing ‘2005 Waterloo Cup’ at Altcar, Liverpool. Only half of this are left now. Designed to show the agility needed when Coursing. Please remember that marks are awarded to the dogs for their agility. NB. I would like to stress: The hare is never designed to be caught.

Each piece is clearly engraved ‘Waterloo Cup 2005’ with the edition number. On the Final Day, I awarded an exclusive bronze sculpture to the Winner of the Waterloo Cup 2005. There were five in that edition. I was there on the cart for the Presentation along with a very famous Lady, Clarissa Dickson-Wright and many others. This was a final farewell to another of our British historical sports. The Waterloo Cup is steeped in tradition. Coursing is about awarding points for agility, but definitely not for killing a hare! If only everyone understood this…. This sculpture was created with the approval of The Waterloo Cup Committee and I donated the No. 1/95 to the Committee in 2005.

An edition of only 95 pieces. Only available from my Gallery. Highly collectible and will stand the test of time being solid bronze.More images and details by request.
